Sign in to order or contact the shopHygrophila corymbosa is an undemanding starter plant originating from Asia. In the aquarium, it grows quickly and produces bright green, long, and wide leaves. Due to its fast growth rate, it requires frequent pruning. Trimming the plant encourages new shoots to spread from the stem, creating a bushier appearance. Cuttings can be re-planted into the substrate where they will form new roots rapidly. This stem plant typically reaches a height of 20-30+ cm after two months. It is suitable for low light and low CO2 environments. When planting, remove the lowest 5 cm of leaves from the stem and any damaged foliage before placing individual plants into the bottom substrate with some distance between them.
