Hygrophila difformis

Hygrophila difformis, commonly known as water wisteria, is an aquatic plant in the acanthus family native to marshy habitats on the Indian subcontinent. It is a popular plant for tropical aquariums characterized by heterophylly, displaying different leaf morphologies in its submerged and emersed growth states. It grows best in good light with nutrient-rich water and substrate, and it can be easily propagated from cuttings.
